Baisakhi the religious and historical festival of Sikhs is celebrated as a harvest festival. A solar New Year festival and commemoration of the founding of the Khalsa Panth( mSikh Religion) by the tenth Guru ,Guru Gobind Singh Ji.Due to the ongoing lockdown imposed to combat the coronavirus outbreak, Baisakhi is being celebrated indoors. This is the first time in the history of mankind that Sikhs have celebrated this festival indoors. People Prayed from their homes on 13th April, Monday at 11am. The Celebration lacked the traditional fervour because people did not venture out of their homes to gather and celebrate. Regular Baisakhi Prayers were held at Gurudawara Sadh Sangat, Seethamadhara by the Hazuri Granthi (Head Priest) at the Gurdawara. An online Kirtan( rendition of holy hymns) group has been created and Shabad Gurbani is recited everyday from 6pm to 6.30pm said S.D.S Anand, President Gurudawara Sadh Sangat Seethamadhara. We Pray with a hope that we will be able to defeat the virus as soon as possible and a new world will surely emerge where narrow domestic walls dividing humans will have no place, where the entire world will function together in a peaceful manner for unprecedented growth he added
