Ensure the increased availability of wagons for traffic use
|
Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra, inspected the Wagon POH (Periodic Overhauling) Workshop at Vadlapudi, Visakhapatnam, today (26.03.2025). During his visit, Shri Bohra inspected the various POH facilities, machinery, and office buildings at the workshop. He was accompanied by Shri S. K. Senapati, Chief Project Manager of BCL, and Shri J V Appa Rao, Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer of Vadlapudi Workshop, who briefed him on the workshop's operations.
The DRM specifically observed the Portal Wheel Lathe machine in operation, noting its importance in achieving the targeted POH assigned by the Railways. He also reviewed the workshop's progress, production output, and performance, advising officials to meet the targeted output to ensure the increased availability of wagons for traffic use.
Branch officers from the Operations, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical departments accompanied DRM during the inspection. DRM evaluated the workshop’s facilities, maintenance activities, and ongoing development initiatives.
